ONTO A SKIN, HIGHLY REFLECTIVE

onto a skin, highly reflective is an iterative collaborative project, a writhing amoeba, an abstraction and a refraction of drag. It is possessed by a desire to free the drag persona from any one singular articulation. It muses over the multitudes within the psyche, the fluid states of creating versions of the self, which at times can be incongruent, inharmonious as well as synchronized and euphoric. It unfolds what it feels like to see oneself through the eyes of others, as well as the care inherent in holding and witnessing each other as queer agents. Performed in green screen suits, the performance typically engages a camera and a live stream of visually mediated bodies both in space but also video.

onto a skin, highly reflective is performed by a rotating cast of movers and is structured around an original, recorded text, accompanied by live sound, produced and performed by Will Mitchell.

'a skin highly reflective, a surface with sharpened edge'

'a muse is a muse, is a muse, my muse, for us, for my my muse, only for you, for us, for them, a muse over muse'
